Mr. Jean-Pierre Chauveau introduced the current situation and differences of the standard formulation and revision of the International Ophthalmic Optics Standardization Sub-Technical Committee (ISO/TC172/SC7 Sub-Technical Committee) and the International Eye and Facial Protection Standardization Sub-Technical Committee (ISO/TC94/SC6 Sub-technical Committee), reviewed the work carried out by the Lens Working Group (WG3) since the 2015 Shanghai Conference, and introduced the progress of the standard formulation and revision project currently carried out by the Lens Working Group and the standards to be discussed, reviewed and revised at the 28th ISO/TC172/SC7 Sub-Bid Committee Plenary Meeting to be held in Sydney, including the new ISO 8980-6 work items proposed and drafted by China.

Ms. Annette Clayfield-Hoskin introduced the structure and latest progress of the ISO/TC94/SC6 sub-standard standard, reviewed the work carried out by ISO/TC94/SC6 since 2015, focused on the standards related to sunglasses, etc., and also introduced the working nodes of the standard formulation and revision project currently carried out by the working groups of the ISO/TC94/SC6 sub-standard committee. Director Jiang Weizhong made a special report on "OGE-Essilor Strategic Cooperation 2016 Sydney Conference", which included the overall situation of China's eyewear standards, the revision of China's standardization system in 2016, the compilation of Chinese standards (English version), the recent work of the SAC/TC103/SC3 sub-standard committee, the holding of the first 2017 China-France-Germany International Optometry Science and Technology Forum, the OGE-Essilor strategic cooperation framework agreement, and Sino-French technical exchanges and cooperation.

The two sides discussed the relevant contents, focusing on the content and arrangement of the first China-France-Germany International Optometry Technology Forum, and decided to hold it in Shanghai, China on February 14, 2017; The OGE-Essilor strategic cooperation framework for the next fiscal year was fully discussed, and the two parties decided to hold a renewal signing ceremony in China in March 2017; The principles of technical exchange and cooperation between the two sides in 2017 were discussed.
