From the perspective of economic industry distribution, the research and development link of the city's glasses industry is very weak. Through data analysis, the organization code management center believes that from the economic and industrial distribution of Shenzhen glasses enterprises, 6 percent of the employees in the whole industry are concentrated in the manufacturing link, but the capital investment in the manufacturing link is less than 3 percent, which restricts the investment and use of advanced production equipment; Relatively speaking, the R&D link of Shenzhen's eyewear industry is weak, and the investment in scientific research and technical services for glasses is very limited, with only 6.7% and 3.3% of the investment and personnel in the industry.
Xu Mingjun, secretary general of the Henggang Glasses Fashion Association, also confirmed that compared with the high share of production share, the processing profit of Shenzhen glasses industry only accounts for about 10%, compared with the gross profit margin of more than 500% of the sellers, and the profit allocated to a pair of glasses will not exceed 10 yuan.
