Quality problems and detection methods of radiation protection lenses
The quality and efficacy of radiation protection lenses have attracted the attention of manufacturers and users. At present, the problems of radiation protection lenses on the market are very serious, the detection methods are not unified and the testing standards are different, resulting in uneven quality of radiation protection lenses, and even some manufacturers use ordinary lenses that have no radiation protection function to claim that they have radiation protection effects. This is due to the fact that there is no unified national standard for the quality standards and testing methods of radiation protection lenses. In 2005, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued the mandatory light industry industry standard of the "Performance and Quality Requirements for Anti-reflective Coatings for Coated Spectacle Lenses" drafted by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Glasses and Enamel Products, which made mandatory provisions on the performance and quality of anti-reflective coatings. However, there is no provision for radiation lenses in this standard. At present, there is no national testing standards and testing methods specifically for radiation protection lenses, and each manufacturer of radiation protection lenses has formulated its own testing standards and testing methods. The main inspection methods for radiation protection lenses include visual observation and methods for measuring electrical resistance. The appearance observation is mainly carried out from various aspects such as film color and lens characteristics, which is difficult for ordinary consumers to distinguish. The principle of the method of measuring resistance is to use a metal film with conductive characteristics on the surface of the radiation protection lens, and when the multimeter is used to adjust the meter to the ohmic gear (× lOK) on the surface of the radiation protection lens for measurement, the resistance can be measured in the range of several thousand ohms.。
