3D glasses are not exactly the same as polarizers, but their working principle is often closely related to polarizers. Among the common 3D display technologies, polarized 3D technology is widely used. These 3D glasses use polarizers, which work by taking advantage of the polarization properties of light. In a movie theater or a specific display device, images of the left and right eyes are projected separately in the form of polarized light perpendicular to each other by means of a special technology. When wearing polarized 3D glasses, the left eye can only see the left image and the right eye can only see the right image, and the brain fuses these two parallax images to create a stereoscopic visual effect.

However, 3D glasses are not limited to polarizers. There are also active shutter 3D glasses, which electronically control the opening and closing of the lenses, alternating between the left and right eyes to see the corresponding image to achieve a 3D effect, and these 3D glasses have a liquid crystal lens inside instead of a polarizing lens. Therefore, it cannot be simply said that 3D glasses are polarizers, only polarized 3D glasses contain polarizers, and rely on polarizers to achieve 3D vision.
