The survey found that most parents are aware of the impact of some products on eye damage.

 

However, they do not pay attention to regular eye examinations for children, and nearly 6 percent of parents will not take their children to check their vision regularly.

 

As for items that may harm children's eyes, 96% of parents believe that computers and mobile phones are a big "source of damage" to children's eyes.

Parents of children from 7 primary schools and 9 kindergartens were randomly selected as survey subjects

 

A total of 2,600 questionnaires were distributed.

 

The results of the survey showed that with regard to what items could harm children's eyes,

 

96% of parents choose computers and mobile phones; 85% of parents opt for TVs, laser pointers and game consoles.

 

In terms of eye checks, only 41.4% of parents take their children for eye checks regularly.

 

In terms of prevention, 11.6% of parents do not read product manuals and safety warnings carefully.

The first is laser products, 29.8% of children have been exposed to laser products.
