"Bright Eyes Project" Enters Wangjing West Park District 4 Eye health is the pursuit of each of us, and everyone wants to have a pair of healthy eyes. And eye disease is a disease that everyone hates, because it brings a lot of inconvenience to people's lives. Especially for the elderly, in the case of poor physical strength, if they suffer from eye diseases, it is equivalent to worsening the situation, which will bring great harm to the later life of these elderly people, and will also bring a lot of worries to the working children, so the elderly must pay more attention to take care of their eyes.
Therefore, on August 21, 2017, with the support of the Chaoyang District Civil Affairs Bureau, the Beijing Optometry Industry Association and Beijing Fenglin Social Work Development Center went to the community of Wangjing West Park District 4 to check the eyesight of the elderly, promote eye care knowledge and present reading glasses. This activity is the "Bright Project into the Community" activity supported by the Civil Affairs Bureau, and the activity has been warmly welcomed by the street community since its launch.
At the event site, many community residents rushed to the community early to wait for the inspection. The doctor patiently and meticulously carried out vision tests, cataracts, fundus and other tests for the community residents, carefully answered various questions raised by the elderly friends, and also gave a detailed explanation of the concept, etiology, symptoms, treatments, and prevention knowledge of cataract, which benefited the residents a lot.
After the event, seeing the care and attention of these elderly people to their eye health, every staff member present felt very gratified, which fully reflects the belief of our optometry industry association to adhere to public welfare activities, and we will continue to insist on holding such public welfare activities to contribute to public welfare undertakings.
